Price difference
Summary: mathiemartin_7 explains that they noticed a difference between the initial auction price on figurines coming from the United Kingdom and the final price shown in their cart, resulting in almost €80 extra compared with the advertised prices. felin12 suggests that this could be due to the addition of 20% import VAT for purchases from outside the EU. noctisauxroses points out that fees such as VAT and customs duties often apply when buying from abroad.
Hello, I’m here following auctions I won on figurines from a British seller.
I find myself with the product price changing between the auction and the cart.
For example, this death Jester [Lien] Highest bid (me) 11,50 GBP. + shipping.
Cart price 13.80 GBP + shipping
And overall it’s the same for all the products. And I end up with almost €80 added compared to what is advertised/bid on.
The icing on the cake, I think, is for a group of figurines where the shipping price displayed is 6,90 GBP and in the cart it goes up to 16,20
Does anyone know where this could be coming from?

·3 years agoUh, you buy abroad, so you have to pay VAT, customs fees, and any other possible import taxes depending on the country and the goods^^
Please reassure me, don’t tell me you’re unaware that there are borders between countries, and trade rules between them?^^

@mathiemartin_7
This is probably due to the 20% import VAT added by the site for purchases made outside the EU
