Belgium - Warning: phishing emails being sent
We recently received information concerning a phishing email campaign. These emails use the invitation sending function for eBay Team Access.
They are sent from an official eBay address, which makes them particularly credible. The invitation contains a link leading to an external site where users are asked to enter their personal data.
We ask you:
● not to provide personal or banking data through a link contained in this kind of emails;
● and, if you have received a suspicious email, to forward it as an attachment to the address:
○ spoof@ebay.de (for eBay Germany)
○ spoof@ebay.com (international).
The eBay accounts currently identified as abusive and used to send invitations for Team Access have already been suspended. We continue to closely monitor the situation and thank you for your vigilance and cooperation.
In general, if you are not sure whether an email comes from eBay, ask first before clicking a link or entering your information.
