Update to our Payment Services Terms of Use
Summary: fr_news_team informs that the Terms of Use for payment services will be updated starting September 23, 2024, to clarify the descriptions of the services and the provisions on merchant registration and merchant protection. The payment methods will be specified without changing the existing rules. Consumers can accept the changes by doing nothing or refuse them in writing before the effective date.
Hello,
To clarify our regulations and simplify the use of our services, we will be updating our Payment Services Terms of Use. The new version will take effect on September 23, 2024. These updates make the description of the payment services we offer clearer. As part of this update, we have clarified the Seller Registration provision to improve transparency and specified which eBay company is the provider of Seller Protection in the section relating to the Use of Payment Services. In addition, we have revised and clarified the provisions of Part III.7. concerning invoice, installment, and direct debit payment methods, without changing the rules as such.
If you accept these changes, you do not need to do anything. If, as a consumer, you do not accept the proposed changes, you can reject them at any time before September 23, 2024 by notifying us in writing (for example by email) or by terminating the payment processing agreement free of charge and without notice. You can do this by email or by contacting our customer service, for example. Otherwise, your consent to the changes will be deemed given.
Sincerely,
The eBay team
