New features for professional sellers - February 2023
Summary: fr_news_team announced that this winter, changes will be made to the platform to improve activity management, particularly regarding refunds and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for sellers on ebay.fr. Starting April 1, 2023, the refund terms for commissions and fixed fees in the event of a sale cancellation will be changed. In addition, professional sellers in France will need to comply with new EPR requirements by May 31, 2023. Additional resources are available to learn more about these updates.
This winter, we continue to develop our platform to make it easier to manage and grow your business.
From April 1, 2023, we will change how final value fees and fixed fees per order will be refunded in the event of a sale cancellation and buyer refund. From then on, when you issue a partial refund to a buyer, you will receive a partial refund of the final value fee. When a buyer cancels a transaction or you voluntarily refund them in full, you will be refunded your fixed fees per order.
We have also included important information about Extended Producer Responsibility EPR for professional sellers listing products on ebay.fr. To comply with French EPR regulations, professional sellers who sell products to buyers located in France must register with the relevant eco-organizations, then add the producer unique identification numbers received on their eBay listings before May 31, 2023. We explain what information is required, how to add it, and the consequences of failing to meet these obligations.
