New item conditions for second-hand clothing

We are convinced of the benefits of selling and buying second-hand clothing, especially when it comes to its positive impact on the environment. To simplify your selling experience and ease any consumer hesitation about buying second-hand clothing, we are pleased to announce the creation of new item condition options for second-hand clothing listings.
3 new item condition options for second-hand clothing
Previously, when you listed a second-hand garment, you could only select the item condition “Used.” Starting February 4, 2025, you will be able to choose from the following three options:
Used: Like new, Used: Very good and Used: Good. The item condition “New with defects” will also be renamed “New with imperfections.”
In the table below, you will find a detailed description of these item conditions.

Used: Like new |
Like new, very little worn, with few or no signs of wear. This item has been worn before, but it is in perfect condition. Any signs of wear must be shown and described in the seller's listing. |

Used: Very good |
Lightly used, with minor flaws and/or slight signs of wear. This item has been lightly used, but its condition is good. It may show a few signs of wear, but all imperfections must be shown and described in the seller's listing. |

Visible defects, significant signs of wear, and/or missing or damaged parts This item has clearly visible imperfections and signs of wear. All imperfections must be shown and described in the seller's listing. |

With these new options, you will be able to provide a more accurate description of your item's condition, which will help reduce the likelihood of a return for condition-related reasons.
Ready to optimize your second-hand clothing listings?
Starting February 4, you will be able to use our new item conditions when creating or revising a second-hand clothing listing. Here is some important information to know:
- Once these changes take effect, all of your “Used” clothing listings will be automatically updated to display “Used: Very good ”
- You will need to review these listings to make sure this condition accurately describes each item. If necessary, edit your listings individually or in bulk to select the appropriate item condition.
- If you use a third-party provider's services to manage your listings, our new item condition options will be available in its tools.
Start preparing for this change by reviewing your listings to determine which condition best describes each item.
Once these new conditions are available, please review your listings as soon as possible, since an accurate item condition is essential to reduce the number of returns and ensure that your listings appear in the correct search category.
