Self-employed and VAT

Hello

As a self-employed person in France (dealing in collectible stamps), Ebay now forbids me from selling in Germany (only) by asking me how I plan to pay VAT (German?) on my transactions to that country;

However, I don't have a VAT number, since I am not subject to this tax under my status (in France);

Do you know the solution to this problem?
