Abusive account blocking / denial of payment / denial of submission of identity document: bravo eBay!
Summary: ldavimou complains about an abusive blocking of their eBay account, preventing payments and sales management, despite submitting valid identity documents. frelonverre suggests creating a new account and explains that new sellers often have their payments initially blocked. Another participant provides links to contact eBay support. ldavimou thanks them for the advice but says that more advanced steps were needed to resolve the issue.
Account restricted abusively TODAY, payments blocked abusively, no information on sales completed (eBay's fault, which is sanctioning me on top of that!), and above all: refusal to process the identity documents requested, and request for another identity document in addition to my ID card - which is illegal under European laws...
That's all! I urge you to call me back quickly, before I go to the nearest police station - complaint that will be forwarded to the European authorities and eBay management in Germany (class action possible if I am not the only one in this case among your customers).
I AM WAITING FOR YOUR CALL - THANKS IN ADVANCE

OP2 years agoMany thanks; unfortunately, it was necessary to go further to maybe fix this problem. See my reply to frelon (good to know...) and thank you all for your involvement and your speed. Have a great Sunday!

before putting something up for sale, we make sure that all of a site's requests are fulfilled
and only then do we post listings
in any case, new sellers have their sale proceeds blocked for 21 days
that's the standard for everyone
as for this:
I urge you to call me back quickly, before I go to the nearest police station - a complaint that will be forwarded to the European authorities and eBay management in Germany (class action possible if I am not the only one in this case among your customers).

you are in the wrong place, you are on a forum run by volunteers, users of the site but in no way with the site's managers who in any case are deaf to threats such as the ones you are making

OP2 years agoHello Frelon, and thank you for your reply.
Just, if you’ll allow me:
1) I have been an eBay customer (occasional buyer and seller) since 2004 (...) - so I am not a new seller; I know how to fill out a form on a website, etc...
2) as such, you will understand that - if for 2 years I have not been informed of my (rare) sales by our host site, that this generates (despite my countless calls to customer service) shipping delays that are not my fault, as well as blocks on my funds as a result... And that on top of having sent my ID card to eBay 5 times as requested, with no result other than my account being blocked today... Satisfaction is not (always) there;
3) Finally, luckily I had access to the second level of customer service today, who explained to me - he did - the problem with the current eBay customer service. You, who are a volunteer and clearly so dedicated to this cause, it might be useful for you to learn that a third first name not appearing on my account opened in 2004 but present on my ID card that was submitted generated all these blocks... without any explanation of the problem.
4) Note, moreover, that I am still NOT informed by email of my sales for 2 years; and - did you know? - that software within eBay penalizes me for late payments due to the lack of notification of said sale (funds blocked...). If you have the trick to solve this problem, I’m still interested!
5) finally, regarding what you describe as "threats", even if I grant you a "fit of anger" on my part, for which I wish to offer you my sincere apologies - I can assure you that no site in the world will block my money or my account (or both) indefinitely... without facing the legal consequences.

so, for your information, someone who has made fewer than 10 sales in the last 12 months is a new seller
to fix your issues, create a new account for yourself with your three first names, another email address, so start over with a brand-new account
and I would not have accepted being so damn annoyed like this since 2004
I can assure you that no site in the world will block my money or my account (or both) indefinitely... without suffering the legal consequences.
you can be sure that eBay doesn't care about the legal consequences, their lawyers just pass that off as overhead
finally, as for what you call "threats", even if I grant you that I had a "fit of temper", for which I want to offer you my sincere apologies
don't apologize, in all the years I've been replying, I've seen plenty of people "lose their cool", but they weren't taking it out on me
