DHL Germany and La Poste: tracking says Delivered but package not received.

I’m waiting for a valuable parcel that has just come from Germany and was shipped via DHL.
The purchase consists of 2 large items, I had 2 tracking numbers that ended up being grouped under a single number.
In short, DHL tracking indicates that the parcel was delivered on 27/02/24 at 14:00 (I was definitely at home that day, no delivery driver came).
I contacted DHL Express, who told me that the parcel is no longer their responsibility and that it was handed over to La Poste.
I go to the postal tracking and enter the DHL tracking number, I see that the parcel does appear but with the status "Your parcel is ready to leave its shipping territory.
The tracking has not changed since 24/02
The problem is that the tracking on eBay is based on DHL tracking and indicates that the parcel is delivered, but that is not the case at all.
I hope the parcel is actually being handled by the post office, because the eBay tracking information suggests that I received the parcel, when that is absolutely not the case, I think there is a big problem on this point...
Would you have any advice to give me if the parcel never arrives ?

DHL is a relatively reliable delivery service. DHL is our Mondial Relais, it works very well in the country of origin. All my parcels coming from Germany are delivered by DHL (it’s a basic service) and all my parcels, when they pass French Customs, are taken over by La Poste in France.
When DHL says "parcel delivered", that does not mean the parcel has reached its "final destination" (cultural reference), it means it has been handed over to La Poste because DHL doesn’t have road freight in France.
If the tracker says the parcel is delivered, wait a few more days (at least two), IT’S FRENCH POST THAT TAKES CARE OF YOUR PARCEL.

·2 years agoHELLO I have exactly the same problem today DHL GERMANY says package delivered successfully at 9:58 AM ON FRENCH TERRITORY but it doesn’t specify to my place which received nothing today even though we were at home too I only have a German tracking number, and no France tracking at worst I complained and told this person to tell me who this delivery person is so I can call him and opened a dispute with PayPal, this person tells me we’ll refund you even though I was only waiting for my package, she doesn’t even do any research as if they already know it wasn’t delivered, did you finally get your package or were you refunded GA150787 9A COULD HELP ME KNOW IF MINE ISN’T AT A pick-up point

I've been on Ebay for 22 years
The service is completely going to hell, I'm currently dealing with 3 disastrous situations that are completely ignored by Ebay's support, no help and no follow-up
In the past I always found solutions all by myself (guaranteed satisfaction)
They want to offer service like **bleep** but they don't have the guts to do it
to sum up
in 1 month
1 parcel with fake tracking
1 parcel with customs fees paid, parcel arrived damaged
1 parcel with an unreadable label, back-and-forth with the post office and DHL Germany
result so far: parcel sent back to Germany
1 parcel, 3 items ordered, received 2 items
All this in 1 month … and nonexistent service, what a disgrace
the sellers backtrack, saying it’s Ebay that handles shipping, they get refunds, what a joke, if you go through Paypal yes, but no lifeline, Ebay wants us to sink
At any rate, that's a lot of time wasted and therefore money too, because with a 23% margin they could at least contribute to some help…

OP2 years agoIn my case the seller was honest, otherwise it would have been a bust. The eBay tracking system is a disaster in this particular case; it only shows the package being delivered to the first French postal relay, it’s incredibly useless.

OP2 years agoThe eBay seller just told me that he received the goods, for a reason he doesn’t understand. He’s going to get in touch with DHL.
Strange story, especially since eBay’s parcel tracking says “delivered,” this system isn’t very reliable...

"Customer Service Team
Global Recipient Service
DHL Parcel & DHL eCommerce Solutions", which says:
- The latest information we have is that your order has been returned to the sender.
This email totally contradicts the email received last night from:
"Customer Service Advisor – Digital Customer Care Department ", which says:
The sender has chosen to entrust your shipment to Deutsche Post in Germany.
La Poste française will handle it as soon as it arrives in France.
What a mess.

If the package has actually been returned to the sender, you'll have to wait until the estimated delivery date to report an item not received ..
Keep copies of the messages, keep checking the tracking and, if needed, contact the seller for a new shipment ..

Further down in the tracking there is a mention of FR post:

In the right-hand sidebar, I have the following note:
"Delivery Mode Your Colissimo will be delivered to your address. It will be delivered with signature."
I get the impression that delivery is indeed planned in 2 stages: a DHL carrier that brings the parcel from Germany to France, then La Poste takes over once it arrives in France.
The problem is that eBay tracking takes into account DHL's delivery status, which would have delivered the parcel "in France", to the post office center for example.
In the event of a dispute (which I obviously hope not), how can anything be proven? I imagine eBay tracking takes precedence ... In any case, I have absolutely received nothing and even less signed any delivery receipt.

Wait a bit .. For DHL, the delivery was made because it was handed over to the post office ..If it was against signature, you'll soon hear about your colissimo if your phone number was provided, otherwise keep checking the tracking.

I have the same issue with a letter marked as delivered coming from Germany with Deutsche Post (DHL). How did you contact the carrier? The site is only in German and I can’t figure out how to contact them.
how can I prove to eBay that I didn’t receive the parcel?

If it's marked delivered, it'll be hard to prove otherwise. You'll need to contact customer service ..
