IMPORTANT / URGENT / ATTENTION: MASS SCAM UNDERWAY ON THE INTERNET
Summary: magneto-shop warned about an online scam targeting eBay sellers. A fake site copies listings exactly, with a fictitious 50% discount, using photos, logos, and descriptions from legitimate sellers. They urge people to be vigilant by doing research, monitoring online, and filing a complaint to protect themselves and prevent possible claims from defrauded buyers. magneto-shop says it has already been a victim of this fraud and has contacted URSSAF.
Hello everyone,
It was with surprise that I discovered last night during a routine internet watch (I am a brand owner) that OUR LISTINGS eBay (I am already in contact with several victims) are being siphoned off by a fake online sales site where they are reproduced identically with a 50% discount by a malicious site ... everything is shown on these fake listings : Your photos, your logos, your description, your brand(s) are being hijacked !!! the deception is huge and very effective : You create an account, you log in, you buy, you pay and ... good luck !!!
I left a fairly similar message last night that was removed because I had put the links or names to this scam, so, it's up to you to do your own research ... in the fake listings, I found that of a heavyweight in his specialty, a pro seller on eBay like me, whom I know well and who is also a friend ... we each filed a complaint AND made a report to URSSAF ...
Please, be vigilant, search, do serious monitoring and file a complaint, the buyers who get scammed will then turn to you to recover the loss (I've already been had once and it was out of my own pocket)
Kind regards,
Yvan
