Unable to pay for a purchase in France with an American credit card

I can’t use my American credit card to pay for a purchase made on ebay.fr. It used to be possible. Why is eBay making payment more complicated for sellers?

If you want to pay in dollars on a European site... it would be better to use a payment method like PayPal for example...

- the conversion will be done directly by the payment method so the site is charged in the right currency, and you won't get "turned away".
