Hello,
This is a first for me here as an eBay buyer/seller member.
After two purchases, which I did receive, and one mistaken purchase, I obviously had to send the items back right away
With those two purchases, I noticed that I did not get the shipping amounts back, only the item prices
I contacted the sellers and they explained to me that shipping is non-refundable and they are not willing to pay it back to me
For the last item, I lost about 35 euros on shipping and I am trying to ask the seller to refund me the first shipping charge and I am no longer getting any response from him
I am disappointed with eBay's services and I feel that soon I am going to leave eBay because of these stupid changes
That said, the sellers are the ones winning and even stealing, since some of them charge very high shipping fees!
I am a seller and I have never stolen from customers and I refund the full amount
Have any of you already been a victim of this and/or what do you think?
Thank you
vlemfab
OP1 year agoI forgot to mention that I paid the shipping fees to the seller and had to pay for shipping again
The item comes from France Shipping costs from Belgium to France are very expensive, even much more with tracking, insurance,...
And since the seller should refund me the full amount but only the price of the item and apparently ebay does not refund shipping Some sellers take advantage of this to ask for very high shipping fees even for a neighboring country
The seller is refusing to reply to me

·1 year agoHello,
I also regularly buy internationally, and to pay 35 euros in shipping fees, you probably have to buy from the United States, Canada, Switzerland, or from the land of the rising sun...
For the simple cases of Switzerland, Canada, or the USA, each state or canton has its own shipping rules, so you will never pay the same rates depending on whether, in the case of the USA, the parcel would come from Utah or Kansas. International shipping contracts are not the same in every country in the world. Don’t expect to be systematically reimbursed if your parcel is lost, stolen, destroyed, has an address or order error, etc...
The size of parcels is also one of the reasons for the high international shipping rates. In Switzerland, for example, there is no minimum size apart from that of the delivery note on the parcel (green paper for customs), but there is a maximum size limit depending on the destination because if the parcel can be delivered over long distances, it will therefore be sent by air, so there are size limits for obvious reasons in the hold. Same for parcels coming from the USA, Canada, or Japan.
Coming from China, it’s cargo freight, less limited in space but the parcel takes a month to arrive.
Neighboring countries generally send by road or rail freight. This is notably the case for European countries.
Also, if the sellers’ rules don’t suit you, simply don’t buy. That avoids disappointment.
