Hello, I’ve just reported a fraudulent action by eBay to the DGCCRF, I think I’m not the only one and I invite you to do what I did. Long story short, I recently received an order to pay my debts to Fedex because they paid the VAT + customs fees on my behalf to deliver an item from Japan. I had already paid the VAT when I paid directly on eBay, and I recently settled my debt to Fedex after seeing that you could get the VAT refunded by eBay, directly in their terms of use with a link to make the request.. I provide all the proof of the VAT double payment, but customer service replies by email that they cannot refund me because according to "their policy restrictions", the request has to be made within 90 days of purchase. So I received my item in February / March and I only got the info from a debt collector that Fedex had paid the VAT + customs fees for me, well after those 90 days following the purchase. So I tell myself we’re going to check... I look again at their terms of use, I search everywhere and there is absolutely no mention of a 90-day limit, I point it out to customer service but they don’t want to hear anything and even ADMIT they’re wrong, saying it will be added in a future update of the terms of use... So I reported this fraudulent act to the DGCCRF and I invite you to do the same if you went through the same thing.
