GCC alert on all my listings: are you affected?
Hello everyone, I’ve just noticed that a new warning appears on all my shop listings when I edit them. The message shown is as follows: "The General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) is not included in the item specifics." ⚠️ To check whether this affects you, it’s not enough to just open a listing. You need to: select one or more listings in the Seller Hub; click "Edit" (or use bulk editing); make a real change (for example, change a shipping method or another field); then see whether a warning banner appears at the top of the page and in front of each listing. I sell exclusively women’s lingerie and clothing for adult women in the Women’s Fashion categories. I should also point out that I sell only on eBay France and ship only within France. My products are not intended for children, which makes this request for a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) very surprising. So I have several questions: Are other sellers seeing the same message? Is this an eBay bug or a new requirement? Have you found a way to remove this alert? Could this mention affect the visibility or ranking of listings in search results (because since then I haven’t sold anything)? I’ve already contacted eBay support to get an explanation, but I’d be very interested in your feedback and experiences. Thanks in advance to everyone who can test this on their listings and share what they found.

Purchase of a product
Hello, I made a purchase on eBay, but I made a mistake when choosing the delivery method. Instead of selecting delivery to a pickup point, I accidentally chose in-person handoff. The seller is located far from me, so in-person handoff is not possible. We both agree to change the delivery method so that it is done to a pickup point. France missing from the list of countries available for the international delivery service
For some time now, I’ve been finding several listings on ebay.fr with France missing from the list of countries available for eBay’s international shipping service. For example: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/175367111755 https://www.ebay.fr/itm/277349694170 .... It says "Shipping may not be available to : France." When I look in detail, I find an alphabetical list that looks like this: "..........Estonia, Fiji, Finland, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada....."... There are practically every country in the world except France. France is absent from the list, but it’s not in the excluded countries list either. When I contacted the seller of the first item, they told me they didn’t understand why France isn’t in the list. It would indeed be very strange for the seller to have eliminated France between Finland and Gabon while accepting almost every European country. Customer service tells me there’s no problem. But I have doubts about this alphabetical list, and in the meantime, I can no longer make immediate purchases on these listings because the seller can no longer provide shipping costs. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

Exaggerated import fees on eBay

Hello, The EU regulations changed last week. Key points: the €150 exemption was removed for customs duties, and on top of VAT, a fixed €3 fee is charged by the EU. Problem is, eBay charges outrageous import fees: whereas before eBay added the 20% VAT for purchases from outside the EU, now the "import fees" exceed 30%, regardless of the amount. Example: for a pair of binoculars at 265GBP + 54GBP shipping, the import fees are now 105GBP, which is more than 32% of the total (item + shipping). The VAT in this case is 62GBP. In short, what justifies this difference (+43GBP), which is much higher than the extra 3 euros, and the usual customs duties (generally between 2 and 4%). Thanks in advance for your insights.
