package exchange at the Glendale Heights international delivery center in the USA
Hello,
I received a package that wasn’t meant for me instead of what I was supposed to receive, except that it doesn’t belong to the seller either. We think there was a mix-up of packages at the Glendale Hights international delivery center in the USA. eBay is telling me that my seller needs to declare the package lost, but in the meantime, who is going to reimburse me? Has anyone already had this problem? Thanks for your help

Mentor2 years agoGood evening @showstopper28
You bought an item from a seller in the US and you hired them (by paying the shipping fees) to send you your purchase...
But.. you didn't receive the item you bought, but something else... so all you have left to do is put into practice the instructions given here----> Return an item to get a refund | eBay
but you'll have to advance the return shipping costs...
Let your seller sort it out afterwards with their carrier and their insurance companies (if they took any)
Whether what you received came from your seller or someone else... whether there was a packing error or not at Glendale Hights .. doesn't really concern you... that is solely your seller's problem...
They trusted eBay's GSP.. so they have to deal with it... the rest is just filler.
Best regards

OP2 years agoYes, it was indeed at my address, that’s fine, and indeed, the contents don’t match. The problem is, who do I send the return to, since what I received doesn’t belong to my seller? Either way, I have to wait until at least 22/02 to open a dispute. Thanks for your help

·2 years agoThe transaction was made with this seller .
There is no other way for you to get a refund than to send the parcel back to them; otherwise, who do you want to refund you ?
Please make sure not to go past the indicated delivery date.

·2 years agoHello,
the parcel you received was indeed at your address since you received it.
It's just the contents that don't match?
So there must have been a labeling error on the shipping label.
Open a dispute for non-conforming item and request a return.
You will need to cover the shipping costs to get reimbursed
Best regards.
