Unjustified assessment, vague feedback, and outdated platform
Summary: retrocollectorsstore expresses dissatisfaction with eBay after receiving an unjustified neutral feedback following a sale. The buyer misunderstood the product's compatibility and waited before asking questions. The return procedures are unclear, the buyer is not communicating, and eBay may automatically refund the buyer. retrocollectorsstore is considering leaving eBay for another platform that is seen as better managed.
Hello,
Honestly, I think eBay is completely outdated.
I sold 2 control boxes, and the buyer asked me questions 24 hours after buying… He wanted to connect pilot wires to something that wasn’t compatible at all. If he had asked me before, I would have warned him.
Then he leaves me a neutral rating because he says he was expecting to receive a washing machine… when at no point was that mentioned in the listing. And even so, eBay isn’t even able to correct the rating.
For the return, it’s still unclear: the buyer gives me no real tracking, just a return code generated automatically by eBay. On top of that, in the details, it says “delivered,” but clearly that refers to the original delivery, not the return package. And meanwhile, eBay says the buyer will be automatically refunded if I don’t report a problem. Except the buyer doesn’t even जवाब to my private messages.
Honestly, it just makes me want to go sell somewhere else. I’m already on **bleep**, and it’s handled much better.
Especially considering eBay’s fees, you’d expect much better service.
