Hello everyone
This has happened to me several times now: the post office is charging me VAT in addition to customs fees for parcels coming from the USA and sent via eBay's "international shipping" system, where the 20% is paid upfront, and of course the post office doesn't provide an invoice linked to collecting these fees, so there is no possible recourse to get refunded
Am I the only one in this situation?

you say: "and of course the post office does not provide an invoice linked to the collection of these fees"
To get proof of payment for the duties and taxes paid at the post office, see this link:

Otherwise, call 3631 and ask them for the C50 invoice for what you paid.

If VAT really was paid twice, ask eBay for a refund ..https://www.ebay.fr/help/buying/paying-items/payer-les-taxes-sur-les-achats-effectus-sur-ebay?id=4771&st=3&pos=1&query=Payer%20les%20taxes%20sur%20les%20achats%20effectu%C3%A9s%20sur%20eBay&intent=Tva&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1425
Unless they’re asking you to pay customs clearance fees?
