Hello, I bought an item on ebay from a seller who I think, based on his username, is a professional.
However, when I placed the order I made a mistake: I only read the title and trusted the photo I saw in the listing. But a little later, while waiting to receive my order, I read that famous description, which had nothing to do with the title because it talks about a blank reel in the title, so without recorded film, but in the listing it clearly says that it is just empty, so you only receive a piece of plastic.
Unfortunately, I tried to cancel the order even before receiving the item, but I couldn't cancel it. So once the package was received, I contacted the seller right away and of course I did not open the item I ordered.
However, this seller refuses the return and claims that I am abusing ebay's return services, when on this site I have only placed two orders, one received and working a very long time ago, and I just wanted to buy it directly because I was happy to have found what I wanted...
My question is the following: is there a 14-day withdrawal law that applies to an ebay online purchase? If yes, how do I get it applied? Because I opened a dispute asking ebay to intervene, but I'm afraid this will go beyond the 14 days... I just wanted to do the right thing and I got taken in...
Please don't be judgmental, just help me please.

The 14-day cooling-off period is only for professional sellers in France.
In that case, the seller cannot refuse a return, but if the mistake comes from the buyer, the latter will have to pay the return shipping.
So check the seller's status.
