Incorrect buyer address, package return
Summary: golgoth_76 sent a parcel to a buyer via eBay, but the address provided was incorrect, which led to the parcel being returned by Chronopost. koalagris and lingma85 advise golgoth_76 to agree on a new payment method with the buyer to cover the return shipping costs, since this can't be done via eBay. They also explain that if the buyer refuses to pay, golgoth_76 should refund the cost of the item but not the shipping fees. golgoth_76 thanks them for the replies.
I sent his order in a parcel with postage via eBay and so with his error. Chronopost noticed the address error and has just returned the parcel to me after a week of back and forth.
How does the buyer pay to resend the parcel to the correct address? Via eBay? And what happens if he refuses to pay for the new shipment when he was the one who made the original mistake with his own address? Thank you

How does the buyer pay for the return shipping of the parcel to the correct address? Via eBay
- Check with the buyer for payment by PayPal, bank transfer or cheque... payment for a return won't be made through eBay...
And what happens if they refuse to pay for the new shipment even though they were the one who made the mistake in the first place with their own address?
- You will refund them the amount of the product but not the shipping costs. Refund buyers | eBay

For the buyer to pay the shipping again: that can’t be done via ebay, so the payment method needs to be agreed between you.
Since the buyer did not provide the correct delivery address, they are not covered by ebay’s customer guarantee:
