Different return address from the shipping address
Summary: steko_52 expressed concerns about an issue with returns on eBay. They bought products in Germany that are not compatible with their vehicle and found out that the return address is in China, leading to high costs. *miss-tigri* suggested that this might be due to dropshipping and recommended contacting eBay customer service for intervention, adding that return shipping costs should be covered by the seller if the mistake is not the buyer's fault.
Hello everyone,
Fairly new to Ebay, I’ve just had an unpleasant surprise regarding two returns with the seller " [Pseudo] ",
Indeed, I bought two products coming from Germany, however they are not compatible with my vehicle, and when I want to return the products as stated in the description " returns within 30 days "
The address to send them back to is no longer in Germany but in China, which therefore results in very expensive return shipping costs.
Is this perfectly legal? I have my doubts.
Thank you all for your upcoming replies.

Mentor1 year agoHello
Your seller must have done dropshipping ..
See about asking eBay to step in or contact customer service ( other options all the way at the bottom of the link )

If the mistake is yours, the return shipping costs are indeed your responsibility, but if it’s the seller’s mistake, those costs are on them.
