Help with taxes for purchases from the USA

Hello,
I am about to buy sports cards on Ebay from the same seller, and I notice that I have customs fees and/or taxes of 4.16 USD per card.
These are cards worth between 1 and 2 USD. Is it normal to have to pay that much and repeatedly in taxes?
I should point out that this is one and the same order, and that the 4 items, namely trading cards, are part of the same item category.

That’s a question to take up with your US seller...
See with him whether he’d be open to bundling those purchases for you....
List the cards you want for him and ask him to make you a single listing, which would mean lower postage as well as limited customs clearance...
Take the opportunity to read this link which shows the import fees and taxes..
Purchases from the US are often problematic at the moment..
