Stamp album
Hello,
I wanted to know whether a seller can fail to answer a very simple question, namely whether the stamps for sale have no hinge marks, and here is their reply:
no idea, I have not returned any stamp, regards
This does not tell me anything about the quality of the stamps if I want to bid higher.
Thank you for the reply

The seller handles it however they want: without a clear response from them, you don’t buy.
They could very well have not replied at all, and no one could have forced them to...
Besides, quoting a username and/or an item number is not allowed on the forum:

Best regards

OP2 years agoGood evening,
That may be your opinion, but I believe that when you list an item for sale, you give the details
or else it means you do not want people to know the quality of the product. I don't think you would agree to buy anything without knowing what the product is worth. As for not replying, that is a choice, but personally I choose politeness, which I believe means replying.
Kind regards

Mentor2 years agoThis isn't an opinion, it's a fact: of course you don't buy if there are missing details in the listing; I would never recommend buying blind, but if the seller is reluctant to give details, what else is there to do but move on? 🤔
A lack of education and/or rigor in no way justifies exposing them like that on a public forum.
There are no shortage of stamp sellers...

OP2 years agoIf I mentioned the seller, know that this is the first time I've used the forum, because I don't have the details to contact ebay, whom I wanted to ask this of. So I really didn't know that you're not supposed to mention your username.
Have a nice evening

Mentor2 years agoHello @imp.nar.9tgqdksv
In general, stamps that are sorted with these strips don't have hinges...
While it's true that the seller's reply may seem a bit light... it is no less true that you're asking them to do a tedious job...
But for now, the price shouldn't worry you.. unless the bidding takes off..
Set yourself a max price not to exceed, and know when to stop in time.....
Best regards

OP2 years agoHello,
I did receive your message, I had made the request for the hinges, because most sellers indicate the quality of the stamps in their listing with asterisks, so at least we know what to expect.
I imagine that it's a tedious job, but when he sorts the stamps he can still see whether they have hinges or not.
In any case, thank you for the reply.
Have a nice day
