I’m a buyer, and I’ve already made purchases from the USA to France without any problem.
today, the seller canceled the sale on the pretext of a bad address and that supposedly e-bay would be preventing international shipping. and this despite full payment and, when settling, taking into account international customs duties and VAT.
does this situation seem coherent to you or is it a attempt at fraud ?
since the seller is proposing that I do the transaction again directly and without going through the platform !
I’d like to escalate this higher up ebay’s chain of control, but I haven’t seen any way to contact them directly.

a way to dodge the site's multiple requirements regarding international sales... and paying excessively high commissions
Wait until you’ve been refunded for your payment since the sale cancellation has been confirmed... before doing anything ...
Commercial exchanges with the US are only a source of problems at the moment because of customs...

ok, that makes sense... I jumped to the wrong conclusion, a bit too quickly! but hey, without the platform guarantee for this purchase... both for the seller and for the buyer...
