eBay ad cancellation, failure to comply with the general terms and conditions
Summary: Anonymous User expressed frustration over eBay canceling their listing to sell blood glucose sensors, which was rejected because of regulations on prescription-required products. Even after an initial reactivation, a new listing was incorrectly canceled, leading to a warning. *miss-tigri* advised not to repost the listing and to contact customer service, but Anonymous User ran into communication issues. lingma85 suggested editing the listing with synonyms and checking the restrictions on selling the items. Anonymous User decided to follow this advice.
Hello,
I posted a sales listing for glucose sensors on 07 /09/24. Ebay removed the listing, considering that it does not comply with the regulations on products sold with a prescription. I filed a complaint, stating on the one hand that the product is offered by other sellers on the site and on the other hand that this product is available over the counter and not conditional on presenting a prescription (unless the patient wants to be reimbursed by social security). E bay accepted and sent me an email reactivating the listing.
Not seeing the listing displayed, I created it again. But once again, jebay cancels the listing, for the same reason but this time considering that the item is a hearing device (whereas it is a glucose sensor). And in passing they sent me a warning.
I do not understand Ebay's decisions; my listing complies with the regulations and the product does not appear on Ebay's list of prohibited items.
How can I resolve this situation.
Thank you in advance for your help

OP2 years agoThank you for your feedback. I contacted customer service, who just gave me an answer that is the exact opposite of the nature of the products offered for sale. In short, it was like talking to a brick wall.
What should I do?

Mentor2 years agoGood evening @Anonymous
Whatever the Customer Service response, do not relist the same listing...
Completely change it if you absolutely want to sell the item.. use synonyms and different photos..
IMPORTANT
Check whether your item is considered prohibited for sale or likely to be by reading this---->
Prohibited or restricted items | eBay
( Open all the links that may relate to your item..)
