Scam?

I’m currently selling a product and a potential buyer seems interested.
At first he suggested that I make a money request on PayPal, and I replied that I preferred to do that on eBay, which he agreed to.
He then asked me for photos by email. He then said he was okay with the purchase.
After that, I received emails from eBay telling me that the money is waiting in my account as soon as I provide the shipping information (by email)... Emails with strange links, text that isn’t very professionally worded, and a few mistakes. I also don’t see any “in progress” status or anything like that on my sale on the site.
I wanted to know, when a sale is in progress, is it supposed to show on the site or not?

RUN AWAY: scam!
"He then asked me for photos by email" = just an excuse so he can then send you fake notifications in the site’s name.
Never give your email to a buyer: you can send the photos through eBay messaging.
Block this member and report him:
