Scam - buyer claims an item isn't the right one when it is!!!
Summary: destock-beauty shares an experience where a Spanish buyer opened a dispute with PayPal after receiving a cosmetic product, claiming they had received an electronic item instead. Despite the evidence provided, PayPal sided with the buyer, refunding them without replying to several messages. *miss-tigri* and jacquelinedu36 confirm that this scam is common and that Ebay cannot intervene when PayPal handles the dispute.
Good evening eBayers,
I sold a cosmetic product worth over 170 euros in Spain. The buyer (only one feedback) was delivered the item and opens a dispute with Paypal saying that instead of the product she received a large electronic object :-)) Ebay can't do anything, we have to wait for Paypal's verdict... I send them the photos of the package, well sealed! and of the product. I write to the buyer several times, no response. Paypal sides with the buyer 3 weeks later. She is refunded, never replied to my messages and never sent anything back...
Ebay can't do anything because the financial institution has made its decision.
Has anyone ever had this happen? what should be done
