Article sold that eBay resells
Summary: Anonymous User expresses frustration about an issue on eBay where an item that had already been sold in May was mistakenly relisted, leading to repeated fees and disputes. koalagris and francexpressdeal suggest the problem may be due to an error in the quantity initially listed, which showed three items instead of one. Anonymous User denies this claim and asks to see the evidence, while francexpressdeal confirms having sent a screenshot showing the error. The discussion highlights ongoing misunderstanding and difficulties communicating with eBay.
I can’t get hold of eBay by phone
I sold an item in May! The buyer received it and paid, of course everything was fine
On July 17 I receive a message saying that the item has been sold (the same one) even though it is no longer for sale
I let eBay and the buyer know, and eBay opens a dispute and charges me fees for not sending the item.
Today, August 6, I received another email saying that a buyer has also paid and that I should send the item ????? They’re going to open another dispute and charge me fees again
If they do this to everyone, it’s profitable!!
I don’t understand because this item on my account is no longer for sale?? Please let me know if you’ve already had this problem! I sent a complaint and I’m waiting to see what they reply too
I’m waiting for your replies and why not eBay’s too!
Kind regards

Mentor3 years agoGood evening @Anonymous
if we look at your successful sales, we can see that you had entered a quantity of 3 for the dimmer switch and so you sold all 3:

OP3 years agoHello,
No, just one item listed for sale and sold in May
I sent the item, and it was received in good condition.
I'm not a professional, I only had one item to sell.
Ebay didn't remove the item, and another buyer requested it and paid for it
that's why Ebay opened a dispute and charged me their
commission.
It's really not serious, and now Ebay is doing it again for the third time and
another buyer wants the item that has already been sold

Mentor3 years agoHello @Anonymous
as already said, the problem comes from the fact that the quantity indicated on your listing was 3 from the start.
All you need to do is go to your sales history to see this.
Check this with customer service.

Mentor3 years agoHello @Anonymous
Making a mistake is one thing, but acting in bad faith by denying the obvious to shift the blame onto the site is another...
Take responsibility for the costs inherent in your screw-up: the quantity of 3 didn't set itself (and even less so by eBay).
Best regards

I already sent you a screenshot that clearly shows that the initial quantity was 3. Which explains why you sold the item 3 times.
We can't post a screenshot on the forum that indicates, among other things, the item number, due to the Terms of Use.
All you need to do is go to your successful sales and you'll get EXACTLY the same thing!
