A complete absurdity when today shredded paper, cardboard, and corrugated cardboard exist. I solemnly ask eBay’s management to require its sellers to prohibit such use of plastic, and especially of POLYSTYRENE in their packaging, under penalty of immediate return, at their expense. Renée Cassin

Ne pensez-vous pas qu'il aurait été plus risqué d'emballer de la vaisselle avec je cite "papier, carton en charpie et carton ondulé" ?

PS : inutile de tenter de mettre en avant un problème de respect de l'environnement pour justifier vos propos plus que déplacés.

Mentor11 months agoSince the seller is responsible for the proper delivery of the order, and given the mistreatment parcels endure on sorting lines, over-packaging dishes is absolutely not out of place at all (double boxing is even recommended).
"I solemnly ask eBay’s management to require its sellers to forbid this kind of use of plastic" = eBay has no business demanding anything in this regard; if there’s breakage, they’ll just take the funds back from the seller’s account, while still keeping their commission fees, so what legitimacy would they have to impose a "light" package?
"at risk of immediate return, at their expense" = an item that’s too well packed is in no way a reason for return, let alone at the customer’s expense...
That’s the very first time in 20 years that I’ve read someone complaining that their orders were too protected during shipping — now that’s really topsy-turvy!
