I’m looking for how to change my payment terms to allow payment by check for my listings in one single step

Well, I’m surprised... I asked EBay the question and they replied:

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting eBay customer service.

I understand that you would like to allow payment by check for your listings. Please be assured that I will help you as soon as possible.

First of all, thank you for bringing your request to our attention. Please know that I am here to offer you the best possible solution to your problem.

I would like to inform you that you can choose to accept additional payment methods, such as checks, when creating your listing. To do this, select the payment options you wish to accept in the "Payment options" section of the listing form. However, you must specify to your buyer, through eBay messages, that you accept payments by check."

It doesn’t seem that clear apparently

You should rely on what is written in the Terms of Use and not on some random answer from someone (or an AI) that hasn’t bothered to update its knowledge.

That was valid a few years ago.. but it has become obsolete since eBay is the one that collects the funds for sellers and then pays out the balance once the fees have been deducted....
