Persistent "billing address doesn't match" block during seller registration despite all checks
Summary: ahmedf_80 is having a problem with the error "billing address doesn't match" when signing up as a seller, even though they're using the same billing address that works for purchases. They suspect a stricter verification for sellers and are wondering whether other users have run into this issue with virtual/prepaid cards. They're looking for advice or a list of cards that aren't accepted for this verification.
Hello,
I’m stuck at the "Add a card for selling costs" step of seller registration, with the error "billing address doesn't match".
IMPORTANT DISCOVERY: my 2 Visa Debit cards (virtual, RedotPay) are accepted WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM when I add them as a BUYER payment method (normal checkout), with exactly the same billing address. The error appears ONLY in the SELLER verification flow.
This seems to indicate that eBay applies a stricter check specifically for sellers (maybe an automatic rejection of prepaid/virtual cards for this exact step), rather than a real address problem.
Already tried without success: address correction (confirmed by an eBay agent), browser change, cache/cookie clearing, 2 different cards.
Have other sellers using virtual/prepaid cards (RedotPay, Wise, Revolut...) run into this same specific blockage at the seller step only? Is there a list of card types not accepted for seller verification specifically?
Thanks in advance.

Registered in Algeria, you fall under ebay.com.
As for your card...
it’s the fact that it’s a virtual prepaid card that’s causing the issue...
The site doesn’t like...
Use a credit card, like Visa, linked to a non-virtual bank account... and you won’t have this blocking problem.
Also, the name on the credit card holder, the bank account, and the eBay account must be strictly identical, with no changes to letters or numbers.
Kind regards
.
