Defective lighter

I’m asking for a return, the seller is only offering a refund for the item. I suppose he increases the delivery fees to get richer.... If I accept the refund for the item, will eBay refund the shipping costs? I would have preferred the seller to send another one at his expense since he got paid double for the first shipping costs. Thanks

for the refund, if it's not specified that it's a partial refund, you'll be refunded the item's price + shipping costs.

In that case, you just needed to contact them to ask, explaining that the lighter received was defective.

He replied that in 1h30, I hadn’t had time to receive it....
I just went to the store 🤣.
He finally replied that he is offering a refund for the item only

So it's a partial refund.
In that case, refuse his offer and continue the return process for a full refund.

You accepted the shipping costs at the time of purchase, you could have negotiated them beforehand ..
