CANNOT UPDATE MY VISA CARD I can't register a new Visa card
Summary: crowpied is encountering issues updating a Visa card on eBay after their previous card expired. I have an eBay account in the UK since 2003, as I was living there at the time for 21 years.
I won a couple of auctions a few days ago, I tried to pay, but the payment would not go through.
I checked and saw that my card has expired, (the old expired card was from my French bank) I tried to add a new card from the same bank, the details are the same, all I needed was to change the expiry date and the 3 numbers on the back.
But every time I tried, I would go through the process, my bank sending me a code to validate it, but as I click to add card, same message /

I spoke to an assistant in the UK and after hours, she told me all my details were fine, it could be my bank?! If it was my bank, when I go through the process to add a card on eBay UK, my bank sends me a code to add with my own code, I click VALID, and then I am told it is fine! THEN, you have to click the button ADD THE NEW CARD and then I got AGAIN THE SAME MESSAGE / We couldn't verify this card. Please select a different payment method.
PLEASE, can someone help? I have spoken to "an assistant" live or AI??? On Ebay.com for hours, I spent my whole afternoon trying to resolve this, I can buy/pay online and I have the money in my bank to pay. Could it be due to the fact that I have 2 accounts? It even seems I have one on Ebay.com (I know this is insane) as I don't even remember making one and when I check the password on my Firefox browser for Ebay, I can see Ebay Sign in.com CREATED IT ON THE DAY I MADE THE PURCHASE which was Sunday 27 October??? I tried to put in as much information as possible hoping someone will help? ALL I WANT IS TO BE ABLE TO ADD MY NEW CARD, Thank you in advance for your help

To avoid multiple complications... there’s a pretty simple way----->
- you just pay with PayPal ... (while knowing that this payment method is very good for purchases... but not so great for sellers and it’s better to forget about it for this activity)...
All you need to do is open a Ppal account with a credit card of your choice and pay with that... or find someone in your circle who has one and then work out the reimbursement with them...
