Don't vouch for repayment
Summary: ibrsabe_0 expressed frustration about a deposit that wasn’t refunded after returning an item bought from a seller on eBay. Despite several attempts to get in touch, the refund hasn’t been made. madelodie advised opening a dispute for item not as described if it’s been less than 30 days, while koalagris suggested checking the possible remedies depending on the payment method used for the deposit, for example via PayPal, noting that disputing the deposit through eBay might not be possible.
Hello I ordered a part from [Pseudo] I received the part once I paid the deposit but once I returned the old part normally I was supposed to be refunded the deposit.
They received the part but they never refunded my deposit after several attempts to write to the seller they don’t want to refund my deposit they are lying and it’s been several weeks they keep saying we’ll pay we’ll pay but nothing is happening, I don’t know how to open a dispute on eBay how to open a dispute or write to report this kind of scam.

Mentor2 years agoHello @ibrsabe_0
The deposit is generally paid separately (item + shipping via ebay // deposit by another means), so no dispute is possible on the site about this = check directly what recourse you have depending on the payment method used for the deposit (if paypal: dispute on paypal).

·2 years agoHello,
if you haven't exceeded 30 days after delivery, at the bottom of this page click on "dispute for item not as described, request a return".
Note the return tracking number in the dispute.
If the seller doesn't respond, request eBay's intervention.
Kind regards.
