Closing a dispute to receive a partial refund from the seller, should I do this?

Hello,

I bought an item that arrived damaged in parts, and having only received vague replies from the seller, I opened a dispute and requested a return of the item.

The seller is offering to refund me half of the item if I keep it and do not send it back, which I accept.

My question: the seller is asking me to close the dispute to receive the partial refund for the item. Should I actually close the dispute, or is the seller trying a dishonest tactic to avoid honoring this refund?

If you close the dispute, you won't get anything at all ( unless this seller is perfectly honest... ?.!! = which I seriously doubt...!! )

for a return request you have to do what is indicated in this link----> Return an item to get a refund | eBay

If your seller had actually wanted to compensate you, they would have gone through this option-----> Refund buyers | eBay However, their attitude would suggest that it never even crossed their mind...

You'll probably get other opinions.... but be wary of people who take their time giving a clear, frank and quick answer... they may be the kings of smoke and mirrors ... ( because you should know that you can only make one dispute per item )... therefore, I stand by my position..= no closing the dispute..
