Parcel misplaced by the carrier and refund
Summary: optical8 explained that they sold an item on eBay that was misplaced by the carrier. Although they provided a tracking number, the parcel was marked as not shipped by eBay, and the buyer was refunded. lingma85 advised contacting eBay customer support to resolve the issue. In the end, optical8 mentioned having been refunded after following a procedure with Packlink, but expressed regret over the lack of support from eBay. They were grateful for the help they received.
Hello,
I sold and sent an item. I provided the tracking number properly. The carrier misplaced the package. The buyer was refunded. I contacted the carrier, who tells me they refunded the selling site, so Ebay.
Ebay tells me that I did not send the item even though I had entered the tracking information correctly. Ebay deducted the sale amount from me even though it should have been refunded by the carrier (I can provide the carrier's message). I can no longer dispute the case because Ebay closed it.
How can I get the refund for the sale that Ebay deducted from me?
Thank you for your help.

OP1 year agoYes, I got a response from Ebay. You have to contact Packlink and after a somewhat cumbersome process, I was reimbursed.
It's a shame that Ebay doesn't pass on the information needed to file a claim with Packlink and simply closes the dispute with the reason "parcel not shipped".
There was a time when Ebay supported its members much better...
Thanks anyway for the reply

Mentor1 year agoGood evening @optical8
The best thing would be to contact Customer Service here---------> eBay Customer Service
Do this during office hours and ask to be called back.
You should know that when a parcel is lost, the carrier only reimburses the amount covered by its flat-rate or ad valorem insurance, provided that you took care to insure the shipment for the amount of the transaction ( item price + shipping costs)... otherwise it comes out of your pocket...
Best regards
P.S.
it seems that you went through the site's delivery platform, which collected the reimbursement for the lost parcel...
By going directly through the carrier, you don't have this kind of problem...
