undelivered package
Summary: fc6_48 bought an air conditioner online, but discovered that the seller no longer existed shortly after the purchase. The package that was supposedly delivered appears to be a scam, and despite filing a claim with PayPal, the case was closed because eBay says the package was delivered. lingma85 advises disputing PayPal's decision with documented evidence and trying to contact an advisor at PayPal to prove the scam. They also express concerns about the impulsive purchase and the difficulties related to after-sales service.
Hello, I bought an air conditioner here on 14/07/2026, over 40 kilos, unpackaged, coming from China. By 15/07/2026, the very next day, I got a message from EBAY telling me the product had been removed and that the professional seller no longer exists. Yet I was still charged the amount of the order. The little joke is that the parcel tracking is completely fake, for sure. Departed on 15/07/2026 from China, delivered in France in the Oise on 17/07/2026. The joke of the parcel tracking says delivered on Friday 17/07/20c6 in a mailbox at 17/h14. ( an air conditioner delivered on a pallet ) what a joke. I made my payment by paypal, I filed a claim with paypal with a complaint lodged at the gendarmerie. Paypal closed the case because Ebay says the parcel was delivered. On EBAY I can't file a claim because a claim has already been made on PAYPAL. Thank you for your help

If you can’t challenge PayPal’s decision, maybe check with Fevad eventually.

Mentor1 week agoHello @fc6_48
Given that you filed a claim on PayPal... eBay won't help you.
So you need to do what is indicated in this link------>
How do I dispute PayPal's decision regarding my case? | PayPal FR
Gather all the issues with PayPal's initial decision ... with evidence to support it (documentation.. listing.. seller account closure... etc..) without forgetting the scams involving fake air conditioners that are all over the net...
Defend your case tooth and nail..
Kind regards
.

OP1 week agoThank you for your help, I filed a case and even submitted a complaint at the gendarmerie. Nothing to be done, they don't want to know anything. They closed the case. You’re probably going to think this message is hard to “swallow”.. but...
buying such equipment in China and, I suppose, at a certain price, was not a thought-out purchase... but an impulsive one...
What about after-sales service or the shipping costs to send the device back if it breaks down..?
The day after the purchase... you’re informed that the seller no longer exists... but you don’t react, it seems..
You should have come here right away... someone would have guided you.
If the product no longer exists, nor the seller... you could have been refunded by making a claim on Ebay...
Now...
We can say the damage is done...
It’s a well-planned scam you’ve fallen victim to.
Try to do as much as possible to contact a advisor on paypal and expose the scam that paypal is complicit in.
That’s the only way out you have.
Hoping you can make it happen (but it’s not a sure thing)
Best regards
.
