Parcel supposedly delivered but not arrived - Delivery options
I placed my first order on eBay. A few days later, the package supposedly delivered to my mailbox isn't there. I realize the package wasn't sent by registered mail. I'm under no illusions about what comes next. I've lost my money. By simulating a second order, I see that eBay doesn't offer me either registered delivery or delivery to a pickup point. So is regular delivery the only option?

Mentor2 years agoHello
If you're within the deadline (30 days from the estimated delivery date), you report an item not received ...
Here's the procedure :

If tracking shows that the delivery has been made... and it’s a Colissimo or another carrier....---->
- have you asked whether, among your family, friends, or neighbors, someone might have picked up the parcel on your behalf...?
- have you told the carrier (Post Office or other) that you did not find the parcel in your mailbox if it is likely to fit there based on its size...?
On the other hand, it’s not eBay that sets the delivery terms, but the seller only... and if you want registered mail, it might be wise to ask them for it (for an additional fee certainly if that is not included in their own delivery options).
The inconvenience for you is that you can’t really blame your seller, since proof of shipment exists... it’s the carrier you need to turn to, if only to find out whether they made an address mistake...
