Package refused by customs
Summary: perecoco shipped a collectible knife to the United States, but the package was returned by customs as “hazardous material.” Now he’s left without the trade with the buyer, after spending 32 euros on shipping. He’s looking for advice on the best way to handle this situation.
Good evening.
Last week I sold a small collectible knife to the United States. Package sent last Wednesday (Colissimo with customs declaration in order), I received a notification on Friday that the item had been returned to the sender. I just received my package today, and the result is that the package was refused by customs on the grounds of "dangerous material".
So today I’m left with my item, a buyer who paid for the item, and me who just paid 32 euros in shipping costs for nothing...
What would be the most appropriate solution? Thanks
