Hello,

After an unpaid order (I was hospitalized for several weeks and honestly didn’t think to do it, especially since there was a risk I might not make it out), I’ve ended up kind of "blocked" when it comes to the bids I want to place. According to eBay, I only have access to "buy it now"... so my question is whether anyone knows how I can get this block removed please?

you are clearly blocked by sellers who have set up their account to avoid unpaid orders.

What eBay told you is false: you are blocked for both auctions and Buy It Now purchases.

If you contacted eBay and they did nothing to unblock your situation, you will have to wait until the unpaid-item defects disappear from your account (that is, 12 months).

After that, not all sellers think to set this parameter, and you may be able to find some who accept your purchases.

Thank you for your reply and all these details.

I wasn't aware of all that but at least now I know when I'll have served my sentence!

Anyway, even though I can understand the penalty, the fact that I didn't pay my invoice was not intentional (the seller, from whom I've had to buy hundreds of items, didn't leave me negative feedback, but I suppose he couldn't do anything other than report the issue to Ebay)

Too bad for me, I'll buy elsewhere in the meantime...
