How can I get a duplicate of the eBay email "Summary of your sales for the year"?
Summary: artie0706 explains that he lost the eBay email containing the annual summary of his 2022 sales, which is essential for the tax office. After contacting eBay, he only received a file detailing each sale individually. lingma85 suggests calculating the total manually and providing it to the tax office, explaining that the details are available if needed. artie0706 decides to follow this advice and plans to print the 2023 report as soon as he receives it.
Hello,
Currently, the tax office is asking me, as it does every year, for the annual amount of my 2022 sales on eBay.
Unfortunately, a bug caused me to lose the emails received at the beginning of 2023 over several weeks, including the one from eBay.
And the emails received in the eBay mailbox being deleted after a quarter, the oldest ones only go back to last summer.
Out of desperation, I therefore wrote last week, twice, to eBay customer service.
Each time, the advisors promised to have this document (re)sent.
But yesterday I only finally received a "data report", in the form of a zip file.
When I was able to open it, I did not find what I was expecting: namely the total sales amount for 2022.
There was just a long summary of my sales over 12 months, item by item.
Which I obviously can't send to the tax office as is.
Has another member faced the same problem?
Thank you

Mentor2 years agoHello @artie0706
You take your calculator... make up a total to print out that you give to the tax authorities while telling them you have the details available for them to look at...
It'll only take you about 10 minutes, but it's better than nothing.
Best regards

OP2 years agoThanks, I'll do that.
Hoping they'll believe I'm acting in good faith.
And in a few weeks, when the "2023 recap" comes around, I'll print it right away this time.
