How do I find the cost of shipping insurance?

Hello community!

After lots of fruitless searching on the site, I'm turning to you ... I want to offer my buyers the option to choose insurance to cover their shipment in case it gets lost, since the amounts being shipped are substantial.

But I can't find anywhere how much this additional insurance costs.

Do you know where I can find the answer?

You absolutely must not leave the choice to the buyer on this matter, since in the event of a screw-up, given eBay's Terms of Service, it will be you (and you alone), the seller, who will have to fully refund the buyer before turning to the carrier to be compensated.

The buyer will therefore ALWAYS choose the cheapest shipping method (which makes no difference to them), so it is UP TO YOU to impose a shipping method that insures the item for its value, so you don't end up out of pocket if the carrier fails.

You can find the amount of shipping costs with insurance directly on the carriers' websites.
