Challenging an unfair decision, how likely is it to succeed?
Summary: xcl796 shares a frustrating experience involving an order shipped abroad that was returned unclaimed, which led to a dispute from the recipient. After contacting eBay, xcl796 has to fully refund the buyer without getting back the shipping fees or the commission, resulting in a loss of 29.69 euros. The person expresses dissatisfaction with this situation, which is seen as unfair.
Hello,
I have an order worth 69 euros. To send it abroad, I paid 19.39 euros for Colissimo. A week later, the parcel was returned by the carrier because it was “unclaimed”.
The recipient opened a dispute against me for “item not received”. I contacted eBay to ask them to refund the buyer except for the shipping fee I paid.
Today I received their decision: I have to refund the buyer 69 euros, and eBay cannot give me back the 10.3 euro commission.
so in the end I lost: 19.39 euros + 10.3 euros = 29.69 euros.
I did nothing, and I lost 29.69 euros!!! What kind of world is this???
Is this normal?!!! What logic?!!!
