Challenging an unfair decision despite irrefutable proof of my good faith.
Summary: granberti shares their frustration about a negative experience with eBay's dispute service, where despite providing evidence confirming that the buyer received a package containing a diamond, their claim was rejected in the buyer's favor. francexpressdeal and koalagris suggest a possible swap of shipping labels and recommend appealing the decision to eBay. There is discussion about handling returns and the lack of protection for sellers, with advice and a link to appeal eBay decisions. granberti remains skeptical of the explanations given and frustrated by the situation.
Hello.
I see that eBay is still on the buyer's side despite all the irrefutable evidence sent by the seller.
So I am warning the community that the seller always loses, even with all the proof of their good faith.
As of 30/05/2025, I sent photo proof that the address of the refused parcel did not come from my shipping address.
In addition, there is a lie about the parcel not being received because I also sent a copy of the delivery tracking
showing that the parcel had indeed been picked up by the buyer.
I also contacted customer service to cancel the return, but I was told it could not be canceled.
I had complete confidence in eBay to resolve this dispute. But I was wrong.
Take note.
A seller who is considering deleting his account.
Good selling to everyone.

Mentor1 year agoGood evening @granberti
Since your explanations are unclear, we can only go by the title, please see this procedure (if you haven’t already tried it, which you don’t specify):

Mentor1 year agoHello @granberti
that seller protection is nonexistent, that's nothing new...
Now, your explanations aren't particularly clear... Your shipment was first refused, then withdrawn, then returned... 🤔
What exactly was the problem?

OP1 year agoThanks for the feedback.
More detail.
The buyer is requesting a return for a non-compliant item, saying a jumpsuit was delivered instead of a platinum diamond, but I never sent a jumpsuit.
His package is bulky, mine is smaller, and the package shipping address does not match my shipping address. So, this package came from somewhere else.
First lie that the disputes team did not accept.
Then he claims not to have received the diamond. Second lie, because I sent the disputes team the Mondial Relay delivery tracking showing that the buyer had indeed picked up the package with the diamond I sent. The disputes team did not accept this irrefutable proof either.
In the end, the buyer was refunded and on top of that he got a free diamond.
I must admit I have doubts about the disputes team's competence.
I am a former sales director and I would never dare deceive a customer or buyer.
Just read my eBay feedback.
I see no action for defending myself, because the disputes team rejected my claim.
Good evening.

Mentor1 year ago"the shipping address for the parcel doesn't match" = It still strongly suggests a parcel swap at Mondial Relay (and therefore the wetsuit was meant for someone else, who received the diamond instead): in case of damage there is manual relabeling, which can lead to unintentional swaps.
For the buyer, and for eBay, it still counts as a non-conforming delivery, and it's impossible to prove the carrier's blunder (who of course will play dumb)...

OP1 year agoThanks for the feedback.
I don't really believe this version, because it was still the original buyer who collected my sent package, proof attached.
koalagris
Mentor1 year ago"it's still the original buyer who removed my parcel" = how does that disprove the hypothesis of your shipping label being relabeled onto another parcel?

Thanks for these details.
Indeed, the evidence is irrefutable.
You should know that this dispute was handled by ebay.it (your buyer being Italian unless I'm mistaken).
As @koalagris recommended to you, if you haven't already done so, contest ebay's decision.
