In 2021, I listed an item for sale on eBay and sold it at the time. Thinking eBay worked like Le **bleep**, I forgot to remove the listing after the sale. In September 2024, another buyer wanted to buy that item, but since I no longer had it, it led to a dispute. eBay sent me emails asking me to pay fees or taxes, but I didn’t see them because I had not been active on the platform for a long time. Today, I just received a notice from a bailiff demanding a sum I can’t pay, because I only have 20 euros left in my account. I don’t know how to contact eBay or explain the situation. Has anyone ever been through a similar situation or have any advice to help me? Thanks for your help!PS: This really looks like a scam, given that I had not been active for 3 years and I hadn’t logged into my account during all that time. They should have noticed and closed the account.
