Summary: colni75 ran into a problem when delivering a package sent via eBay because the pickup point chosen was too far away for the customer, which caused the package to be returned to the seller. colni75 is concerned that the buyer is not responding and is hesitant to cover the reshipping costs because they do not have a PayPal account. lingma85 suggests refunding the buyer for the original purchase (excluding shipping fees) and looking for a possible arrangement, while noting that the new shipment will not be covered by eBay.
good evening, I made a sale and a delivery with eBay's shipping label, that is to say I sent my parcel to the relay point indicated by eBay. The furious customer told me that this relay point was 35 km from his home and that it needed to be forwarded. The parcel then came back to me, luckily I was in Paris at that time... anyway, I let the buyer know that I have the parcel in my possession, I also let him know that I don't have a PayPal account because I don't know whether he agrees to pay for a new delivery. I have no response from the buyer and I don't know what to do because I don't want to pay for the new delivery and I don't know who is in the right. Thank you for your reply

Mentor5 months agoHello @colni75
If you don’t have a way to charge them for another delivery... and your buyer hasn’t picked up the parcel from the designated pickup point...
- you refund the buyer the value of their purchase (shipping costs not included..) and ask for a credit note for the amount of the eBay fees...
Don’t forget to let them know and, if needed, see with them whether there’s an acceptable solution, knowing that, in any case, the new shipment won’t be covered by eBay
