Item failure returned to the seller
Summary: myrly bought faulty shock absorbers for their car and asked the seller for a refund after returning the item. The seller offered to refund only 70%, which was disputed. lingma85 advised filing the claim officially through eBay to get a full refund. myrly wanted to leave a negative review to warn other buyers, but learned it’s too late to rate the purchase after 60 days. myrly is frustrated because it’s now impossible to warn future customers.
Hello, I bought a pair of shock absorbers for my car and contacted the seller because they were defective. The seller asked me to send them back, asking whether I wanted a replacement or a refund. Faced with the problem and having had my vehicle off the road, I asked for a refund. After I returned the shock absorbers to him, he is willing to refund me but only 70% and not the full amount.
After a lot of back-and-forth through eBay messages, he tells me that for him the matter is closed if I do not accept his solution.
What can I do?

So that everything goes as smoothly as possible... you shouldn't do things without eBay being informed... (private messages aren't much use except to put you in a difficult position...)
Make your claim in an "official" way....--->Return an item to get a refund | eBay
If a few steps have already been done, list them and above all, ask the site to step in if you can't be refunded normally after returning the defective item. At worst, contact customer service (HELP) if you don't know how to get out of this...

OP2 years agoHello,
Regarding this item and this seller with whom I lost money, I want to leave feedback on the item but also on the seller so that eBayers know what they're dealing with.
I don't understand why I can't leave feedback, given that this dispute has just come to an end.
Please explain the steps I need to follow.
Kind regards.

Reviews/ratings can only be submitted during the 60 days following the purchase date... now, it's too late.
