Paclink failure that does not transmit the necessary information
Summary: lebuou shared their experience of a problematic shipment via Paclink for an eBay sale in the United States. After completing all the required documents, the package was returned because of missing paperwork even though that information had been provided. Paclink is no longer responding, and eBay can’t intervene because Paclink operates independently. lebuou is worried about whether they’ll be able to be reimbursed for the initial shipping costs if the sale is canceled. madelodie replied that the selling fees might be recovered, but not the shipping costs.
Good evening, I sold a poster to the United States. On eBay’s recommendation, I went through Paclink. I filled out all the documents, invoice and customs documents, with all the information requested. My poster was sent in a well-protected tube on October 27. On November 2 I saw, thanks to the tracking number, that my parcel was blocked on a platform in France for lack of documents (invoice and customs documents). I contacted eBay, who told me the steps to follow with Paclink. They replied that they were taking the necessary steps to pass on the requested information, as they commit to do when payment is made. Then nothing more. They do not answer emails. eBay, contacted again, very quick to call you back, tells me they cannot do anything, Packlink is independent. My parcel has just come back (opened as well) and Paclink still does not reply so that I can send it again without being forced to pay (very expensive) again. My customer is very patient, I kept him informed as things progressed. What a waste of time! and still no solution. If my customer asks to cancel the sale, which would be understandable, would I get a refund for the shipment that was aborted because of Paclink? What should I do? Thank you in advance

OP2 years agoHello and thank you, your message had not reached me, I came across it by chance. Packlink takes shipping fees for a service of shipment and data transmission and does neither, and I should accept not being refunded? scandalous. When we do not fulfill our commitments, it is a completely different matter and fortunately so. Best regards
madelodie
·2 years agoHello,
if the sale is cancelled you will be compensated for your selling fees but not for the shipping fees.
Regards.
