Payment deadline for auction

I won an auction by only being able to log in an hour and a half after it ended. When I logged in to make the payment, I found that the seller had canceled the sale an hour after the end on the grounds of “item out of stock or broken,” but in reality, for non-payment.
While looking for the rule regarding the payment deadline, I found this text that seems confusing to me:
Payment deadlines
When you buy an item on eBay, whether you won an auction or used the Buy It Now format, you must pay the seller within 4 calendar days. However, the sooner the seller receives your payment, the sooner they will ship your item. When you bid or make a direct offer, we may ask you to provide your payment method and shipping address in advance. If you win the auction or if the seller accepts your direct offer, payment will be made immediately to ensure the smooth completion of the transaction.
For “you have won an auction,” we read both “4 calendar day deadline” and “payment will be made immediately.”
For payment for an item won in an auction with a closing time that we do not control, of course, do you really have to make the payment immediately?

If he canceled because it was out of stock... he didn't do it for a reason that doesn't make sense or that wouldn't be accepted...
Do you have to pay for an item right away...?
Yes.. if it says "immediate payment"... but this is only used for sales in "Buy It Now," not for auctions.

It may simply be that your bid was the only one and the price wasn't high enough for the seller to accept selling to you..
As a result.. he canceled.
Don't let your imagination run wild.. it's too hot for that.
