Abnormal refund request
Summary: coremi5 described a problem encountered after a package sent via Mondial Relay was lost. The buyer opened a dispute, and eBay requested a refund greater than the amount received. Mondial Relay claims to have refunded eBay, but eBay says otherwise. francexpressdeal suggested that, since the package was shipped via the eBay platform, Packlink should be contacted for the proper claims procedure.
Hello,
I sold one of my products on eBay.
The package was apparently lost by Mondial Relay. The buyer opened a dispute (normal, they didn’t receive it).
I received the transfer from eBay (price - their fees) and now eBay is asking me to refund more than what I received (price with their fees).
I contact customer service to understand why I’m being asked for a refund when I provided proof that I had sent the package, they told me to contact Mondial Relay customer service and that they would reimburse me.
The Mondial Relay service told me that they had already refunded eBay. And eBay customer service is telling me no.
Result: I’ve lost my product and I’m supposed to pay more than what I was given, a disgrace.
Has anyone ever encountered a similar case?

Mentor3 weeks agoHello @coremi5
did you send your parcel via Packlink?
coremi5
OP3 weeks agoNo, I used Mondial Relay directly on the eBay platform.

if you used the eBay platform, then it’s Packlink.
In that case, there is a specific procedure to follow:
