Refund request from the buyer. What fees for the seller?
Summary: bepeta_0 explains that a buyer placed an order on eBay at a price much lower than the one advertised, without negotiating. The buyer then wanted to cancel, but bepeta_0 couldn’t refuse within the allotted time. koalagris advises contacting customer service to sort out the situation, noting that the displayed price may have been set up incorrectly. They also discuss the possible fees for canceling the transaction.
An ad was posted a long time ago at €100.
A buyer placed an order at €25.
No negotiation request, the buyer imposed their price.
Then the buyer wanted to cancel the sale.
I hadn't checked my emails for a week and the deadline to accept or refuse this "sale" had been exceeded.
I contacted eBay to say that I refuse to sell at 25% of the price of my ad and that I agree for the buyer to be refunded.
However, a week later, eBay emailed me saying that the sale still hasn't been canceled...
What should I do?
Or rather, how should I do it?
Will I have to pay any fees ???

Mentor1 year agoGood evening @bepeta_0
This isn’t an offer: if that were the case, the price would be crossed out.
So it seems that the price you set yourself when listing it was indeed €25.
(impossible for the buyer to set their own price....)
= check with customer service starting tomorrow

OP1 year agoWill I still have to cover fees if it's the buyer who cancels their sale?

Mentor1 year agoIs he planning to cancel his purchase? (I have my doubts...)
= You’ll see that with customer service.
(personally, when I look at your listing, the item is sold at the price you indicated, no bug or weird manipulation on the buyer’s part is to be noted)
