Buyer feedback request

Since I can’t contact eBay by phone because of the tone the person used with me, which was very, if not way too, negative.
I’m laying out my problem: a buyer made a return request because the package still hasn’t arrived. I sent several messages asking them to contact Mondial Relay to get things moving (usually they’ll do something when it’s dragging on).
However, the buyer is ignoring my messages.
I did the work for them because the guy is nowhere to be found.
I want to know, because the deadline is coming up and I can’t cancel the request even though I stated “returns not accepted”.
What will happen once the deadline is up?

no, you did your job because it’s up to the seller to take the steps since you’re the one who will be compensated by the carrier in case of loss ..

- making this request makes absolutely no sense....
Indeed, how can you ask for a return for something you haven't received... how do you explain the reasons (not as described, damaged, etc.... )... ??
and since it's your buyer who made the request, you, as the seller, can't cancel it...
And on the other hand, with eBay, the mention "no returns accepted" that can be shown on listings will get "hammered" by the site's "buyer protection"...
Let them wait until the delivery deadline, and if the item still hasn't arrived, they can then ask the site for help here-----> Get help with an item that hasn't arrived | eBay
and you'll respond accordingly...
But the delivery times have to have passed...
